I’ve been thinking about SaaS marketing for some time now, and I think I’ve finally cracked it. The best way to market your SaaS is by posting on Twitter.
Now, I know you probably have a lot of questions, but hold on. First, take $8 out of your pocket and hand it over to poor Elon over there. Done? Great, now let’s get started:
Talk about your project. Because this is kind of a given.
Brag about your MRR. Just make up some numbers if your MRR is low. Don’t forget to post a screenshot of a chart as proof.
Share your wisdom. Talk about your hot takes on recent events and what they taught you about SaaS marketing. It’s always about SaaS marketing.
Flaunt others’ (not your) successes. List the five reasons why someone (not you) is crushing it. Because that’s not lame at all.
Post random UI screenshots. Say nothing, but act like they’re the pinnacle of design.
Show your hard work. By posting a photo of your laptop with an IDE open.
Copy jokes. When you see someone make a joke, copy their joke.
Shitpost. Or just do the good ol’ shitposting.
YMMV, but with so many people doing it, it must be working, right?
While you’re here, let’s not forget about Threads. What seems to work over there are engagement farming and rage baiting. So plan your posts accordingly and watch the interactions roll in.
And whatever you do, avoid Mastodon. Without an algorithmic timeline, you’ll be talking to yourself. If the weirdos there find your posts, at best they’ll ignore you, and at worst they’ll block you. So, tread carefully.
